Structure and navigation at the electronic headquarters
This electronic headquarters is designed to facilitate navigation through it to the maximum, in order to locate and access as quickly and easily as possible the procedures it contains, as well as other information.
To facilitate navigation, it has the following features, elements and tools:
Structure:
The first important characteristic for navigation is the structure of the headquarters itself, composed of several blocks of information and/or management, such as: The personal area, about the ASD, Information and management, Dictea and Badoctea, Access directly and the Foot. All the blocks are composed of several themes, and in turn, each topic of several sub-themes, which are presented in such a way that it is very easy to change from one theme or sub-topic to another.
Presentation style:
The second important characteristic to favor navigation is the presentation style, characterized by the typography in three colors: blue, black and white on blue background in some areas such as the header, menu bar or foot. All texts in blue (or white on blue background) are clickable, and change in purple once visited.
Menu bar:
The menu bar is a fundamental element for navigation. This bar is reproduced on all pages of the headquarters (except on the screens of the démarches), so that it allows, with a simple click, access to any theme of the blocks of “About the ASD”, “Information and Gestures” or “Dictea and Badoctea” from any other page of the headquarters.
Explanatory texts:
The third characteristic is that in general, all clickable texts are associated with a brief explanatory text in order to inform about the content of it and avoid having to access them to know what they contain.
Navigation levels:
Despite the number of procedures, information files, manuals, etc., it has been possible to reduce the number of navigation levels to a maximum of 4 or 5, although access to a large part of the most important and used procedures can be reached with practically two navigation levels.
Management vs information:
Another important characteristic is the principle followed in the presentation of the contents, which is that the steps and information to carry out them are as close together as possible, avoiding having to navigate from one place to another, when it comes to informing oneself about how to carry out a given management.
Route or Migas:
An important element for navigation is the Route (“Migas”) at the top of each page, immediately after the menu bar of each page, which allows you to know at any time where you are located and return to any previous level of that Route, clicking on it.
Multiple (paginated) information pages:
When the information on any topic is very extensive, this information is presented on multiple or paginated pages, which have on one side an index that allows direct access to the desired chapter, and on the other hand, navigating from pages to pages using the “next page” or “previous page” buttons. In addition, the information pages can contain links to management, regulation, related content, etc.
Internal search engine:
Finally, an element or rather an extremely important tool for locating any type of information or management existing at the new headquarters is the Internal search engine, located in the Menu Bar, and therefore accessible from anywhere in the headquarters.
The search engine allows in the first instance to search for the term, phrase or text introduced in its box, and once the results are presented, which will usually be many, it has several mechanisms to reduce the number of results, such as:
Filters:
It has several filters, the most important being the “Type of information” filter. Advanced search: functionality that is activated by the “More” button and that allows you to search for content that meets certain conditions, such as accurate phrases, that contain all the words searched, etc.
