International Activity
IBERO-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF COURTS OF FISCAL OR ADMINISTRATIVE JUSTICE
At the international level, ASDs are part of the Ibero-American Association of Courts of Fiscal or Administrative Justice (AITFA), a Civil Association created in 1996, composed of the jurisdictional bodies of tax and administrative competence that operate in Ibero-America and the Iberian Peninsula to establish a permanent exchange on its organization, operation and legal criteria, thus providing the associated countries with the greatest possible support in order to resolve their administrative matters.
The Ibero-American Association of Courts of Fiscal or Administrative Justice (hereinafter A.I.T.F.A. https://aitfa.org/ is a Civil Association created in August 1996, which brings together the Fiscal or Administrative Courts of seventeen member countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic and Uruguay. They are currently listed as guest countries: Nicaragua and Venezuela. Its basic aim is the exchange of experiences for the improvement of fiscal and administrative justice in the countries that compose it.
The member countries constitute the General Assembly or Plenary Assembly, which meets every two years. The Board of Directors is composed of the President of the Association, two Directors and the Executive Secretary (who is assisted by an Deputy Executive Secretary).
In the biennium 2023-2025, the Presidency rests with Colombia.
